first of all - a very merry berry (belated) christmas to all of you! i hope you got to spend time with the ones you love most and to just relax.
i, for my part, tried my best. however, i am still quite exhausted from the last.. months, i guess, so i was not really in the mood for taking pictures all the time. plus, i really am dissatisfied with the way my outfit pictures look as i am tired of all the detail shots. therefore, i am still figuring out a way to make myself more content. hope i will find a solution to this soon!

to not be a complete disappointment, some shots i took during the last days. another post is just about to be prepared, so this should be the end to my little christmas pause!

all in all, it is not too much. a dress, a jacket, pants (see last post) and a bag. combine it though, add up the prices - what was i thinking? haha but i really cannot help it as i love every single piece and two of them (jacket and bag) i've wanted for a very long time so i thought with christmas around, i would deserve a treat. WRONG THOUGHT!
i just hope that this post will keep me from buying more stuff for myself that i actually did put on my wishlist for christmas. i am just so afraid that the things that i want will be gone before anyone could give them to me. i am obviously nuts.

do you get the same? i just always make wishlists and in most cases, i buy all the things myself.

i am lacking creativity, majorly lacking it. i've been browsing tumblr for hours and days now, it is not getting any better. it starts with having no ideas what to gift everybody for christmas and ends with hating my entire closet, although there is so much stuff in there that i have wanted forever now.

in addition, i am just the most impatient person right now. i would love to buy everything off my christmas wish list stat, anxious that people won't give it to me haha. also, taking pictures of myself is the last thing that i can do right now. i am always so frickin unsatisfied with everything!

oh well, maybe i just need a break. 2 more weeks of work to go and i am off for a couple of days.

anyways, say hi to my new pants (that i never want to clean as i am afraid that the color will fade and the wonderful softness will leave as well). and the necklace, that is.

as i said, there is a lot more, but well - this would made me happy for starters!

besides all that, i just wish for another happy year, staying healthy, spending more time with my family and friends and especially, being more creative and finding more time for le blogging!

trends | leggings

all via we heart it

i saw them a while ago for the first time - to be exact, when i was about 6. i wore them everyday anyday, i just loved them. and i had them in many patterns and fabrics! maybe i was a trendsetter all along..
ANYWAY! when i saw these leggings a couple months ago, i didn't realize what i was seeing. my childhood love had come back to me - leggings that are in the best case knitted or made of velvet oooor, even better, have some fancy patterns that now would be called ikat or aztheqe or something similar (when i was young i was calling them christmas-leggings as many of mine had reindeers on them - LOVE!).
when i was in hamburg last weekend, i could not avoid stopping by at urban outfitters and i found that they had many lovely leggings that just felt right. they were for the most part a mixture between leggings and sweat pants; i think that is just the right mix for the lazy holy days.
howeverrr, i am not too sure if i'm not.. 16 years too old for that (yes, i had to count). what would you wear these pants to? what shoes, what tops? should you go for the all-pattern-mixed-look? well well well..

outfit | close enough to start a war

sweater,choker,parka - h&m/shorts - cos/tights - wolford/shoes - converse chucks/bag - zara/foxtail - gifted

i guess its official: tights season is back. 

whenever i get a new piece (that usually i am in love with) it is incredibly hard for me to also wear other things that i owned before. therefore, i wanted to let go off my dr.denim-jeans at least for once and dug out those cos shorts that i bought in summer. now i wish they were even shorter but only cause i can wear them with tights now ;-)

also, making something suitable for wintertimes that you bought on a hot summery day seems to be a difficult task. there is nothing worse for me than people trying to pull off their jeans cut-offs during winter with black tights. but these shorts didn't make much for a challenge.

all paired with my last-season parka from h&m and my beloved zara-bag. foxtails are cool in summer, but they really are awesome in winter (or fall, for that matter) i think!

how are you with new pieces in your closets? do you wear them until you cannot look at them anymore, too?

those skinnies are from the parisian label iro and they could be mine for 'only' 130€. love or love?

i promise there is going to be more genuine stuff coming up, i'm just so lazy when i have some time off..

news | ed hardy feat. taste

so, yesterday i was going through twitter when i saw it - h&m is launching its next capsule collection, titled the dragon tattoo-collection.
i was like, omg, are they teaming up with ed hardy?!
i clicked on the article by lesmads and i was pleased that the contrary showed up: h&m is collaborating with trish summerville, among other things known for creating the clothes for the movie 'the girl who kicked the hornets nest' also known as the stieg-larsson-trilogy.
and they seem to be bringing out cool stuff! all very lisbeth-salander-themed with a bit of a fashionable twist, as trish summerville puts it. most of all, i am excited to see the leather pants (what a surprise).

the collection is going to be available worldwide, shortly after the h&m x versace launch, on 14th december in the h&m divided-sections. usually, i despise divided because it seems they only have stuff that wanting-to-be-part-of-wasted-youth-teenagers would wear, i.e. the quality is even worse than in the other sections, but i am going to wait and see.

trends | h&m x versace

soo, h&m teaming up with versace.. i have to admit, at first i was very excited about this. versace is one of the number uno designers in the world so how could that go wrong? well than i thought again - isn't versace known for (at least in my head) incredibly tacky clothes?

so i planned to just wait and see. now that we can see i must say that this collaboration is the first one that i just love - in terms of diversity.

let's see, we have leather, we have studs and we also have incredibly cool prints that may look like the shirt of your grandad that he puts on when leaving for holidays but still - they are cool!

however, then again we have things like this unbelievable tacky piece of a dress (picture four) that will make you look like a working girl no matter how classy you are. not to mention the horrible emblem of versace that reminds me of botox and trophy wifes.

do not let me even start on things like the small and very pricey purse littered with studs that you can easily do on your own, best example for that would be lovely alice.

so yes - once again h&m is launching a collection that is much too overpriced and much too not-worth-the-money-judging-by-the-looks.

it seems that as soon as the leaves come down, i turn into a thoroughly routine person. i start wearing the same colors for a whole season - black, grey, then different shades of grey, white, brown, olive. that is it.

but then again, maybe i'm just a routine person in summer as well.

i'm sorry that you have to put up with my snapshots all the time, i still do blame work for my lack of motivation - or good pictures for that matter. so just bear with me for the time being, i promise i'll do better. soon.
