outfit | the leather skirt

i was long looking (and longing) for a leather skirt. i had this inner image; summer, a black mini leather skirt, a white simple tee and some golden jewellery. and white sneakers. and my ray ban wayfarer. and maybe red lipstick.
you get the image? so how happy was i when i was for the first time in a while rummaging through h&m online and saw it - a genuine mini leather skirt with a seethrough under-skirt. even though it was h&m, i was quite sure not to see it on too many other people (is that still true?).
i purchased it in winter and wore it today for the first time ever. with a white tee, golden jewellery, white sneakers and my wayfarer glasses (without the red lipstick though - next time!).

i am lacking creativity, majorly lacking it. i've been browsing tumblr for hours and days now, it is not getting any better. it starts with having no ideas what to gift everybody for christmas and ends with hating my entire closet, although there is so much stuff in there that i have wanted forever now.

in addition, i am just the most impatient person right now. i would love to buy everything off my christmas wish list stat, anxious that people won't give it to me haha. also, taking pictures of myself is the last thing that i can do right now. i am always so frickin unsatisfied with everything!

oh well, maybe i just need a break. 2 more weeks of work to go and i am off for a couple of days.

anyways, say hi to my new pants (that i never want to clean as i am afraid that the color will fade and the wonderful softness will leave as well). and the necklace, that is.

outfit | close enough to start a war

i guess its official: tights season is back. 

whenever i get a new piece (that usually i am in love with) it is incredibly hard for me to also wear other things that i owned before. therefore, i wanted to let go off my dr.denim-jeans at least for once and dug out those cos shorts that i bought in summer. now i wish they were even shorter but only cause i can wear them with tights now ;-)

also, making something suitable for wintertimes that you bought on a hot summery day seems to be a difficult task. there is nothing worse for me than people trying to pull off their jeans cut-offs during winter with black tights. but these shorts didn't make much for a challenge.

all paired with my last-season parka from h&m and my beloved zara-bag. foxtails are cool in summer, but they really are awesome in winter (or fall, for that matter) i think!

how are you with new pieces in your closets? do you wear them until you cannot look at them anymore, too?

it seems that as soon as the leaves come down, i turn into a thoroughly routine person. i start wearing the same colors for a whole season - black, grey, then different shades of grey, white, brown, olive. that is it.

but then again, maybe i'm just a routine person in summer as well.

i'm sorry that you have to put up with my snapshots all the time, i still do blame work for my lack of motivation - or good pictures for that matter. so just bear with me for the time being, i promise i'll do better. soon.

i have lots of stuff planned for the blog and i'm really hoping that i can turn everything into reality over the weekend!

outfit | plain white t

first of all: sorry for the rubbishness of the pictures. it is just very difficult to master the nerve to take some head-to-toes at around 7am.
well so the outfit - i usually don't go for all-black-with-a-white-spot but sometimes i just love it. so when i was thinking about what to wear today, i didn't want to put too much effort in it (remember, 7am..) - black suede flats, black (well at least it was black once) jeans by cheap monday, black mango blazer and to top it all off - a plain white tshirt by american apparel. my beloved metallic clutch was the only colour that i had on me today.
to emphasize the simplicity of this outfit, i wore a tiny peace-ring that i got on asos a couple of months ago.

so, on another note: i miss blogging. i crave it. as well as i crave fashion and i have this huuge urge to go shopping. so i ordered some bits and pieces online a couple of days ago and hopefully, they are going to arrive come weekend.
speaking of which - weekend, i cannot wait for you to finally be here!

blouse, pants, clutch - zara/plimsoles - h&m/jewellery - various

es ist tatsächlich die clutch geworden! die größe ist perfekt und von der farbe muss ich ja garnicht erst anfangen.. sie kam allerdings mit einem lästigen tragegurt, den man aber zum glück abmachen konnte. der stolze preis von 70€ macht mir allerdings immer noch ein schlechtes gewissen..
als nächstes hätte ich dann gerne die ballerinas und danach die silbernen flats, okay? bittedanke.
die silberne hose wäre mir wahrscheinlich schon ein wenig zu viel, obwohl es sicherlich auch nur eine frage der kombination ist.
auf jeden fall ist das, was ich gestern zur arbeit anhatte. trotz seidenbluse war es unfassbar heiß und die bekam dann im laufe des tages auch noch colaflecken, von welchen ich inständig hoffe, dass sie einfach wie von zauberhand von selbst verschwinden.

ist es bei euch auch so heiß? was zieht ihr in dem fall zum arbeiten an?

outfit: the wedding dress

gerne hätte ich euch das kleid ja in seiner vollen pracht gezeigt, aber irgendwie wollte das heute nicht so recht klappen und bei dem wetter hab ich auch keine lust, den halben tag drinnen zu sein und den selbstauslöser zu drücken.

das kleid, manche kennen es vielleicht, ist aus der h&m faa festival-collection von vor 2 jahren, wenn mich nicht alles täuscht.

ich hatte mich garnicht wirklich über die kollektion schlau gemacht, stand dann irgendwann bei h&m in hamburg vor dem kleid (und der jeansjacke aus der gleichen reihe) und dachte mir: HABEN?!?!?!?!

bei meinem glück gab es das aber nur noch in 40 und aufwärts, aber ich probierte es dennoch an. ich muss die träger leider oben zusammenknoten, so dass es höher sitzt, aber ansonsten ist es durchaus tragbar. seitdem hat mir das kleid viele blicke und einen halben heiratsantrag von einem fremden eingebracht und ich liebe es wie am ersten tag. 

ich wünsche euch einen wundervollen tag und werde jetzt rausgehen und den (hoffentlich nicht, aber es sieht ja leider ganz so aus) letzten tollen tag in diesem sommer genießen.

outfit: tischdecke

erstmal: nein, die bilder sind nicht unscharf, ihr braucht einfach alle eine brille! 

es könnte aber natürlich auch sein, dass ich es einfach noch nicht drauf habe mit den einstellungen meiner neuen kamera und die bilder aber trotzdem ganz schön fand. wer weiß.

das kleid habe ich im zara-sale erstanden, für immer noch happige 30€! der erste kommentar von einer von mir sehr geschätzten männlichen person dazu war aber nicht 'tischdecke' (nein nein, das stammt aus meiner eigenen feder), sondern 'das hätte ich dir aber auch selber häkeln können?'.

tja, hätte ich das mal früher gewusst.

mir gefällt aber auch, was zara da veranstaltet hat und auch wenn das kleid sehr kurz ist, warte ich nur auf die erste gelegenheit, es standesgemäß auszuführen.

gerade wegen der eher minimalen länge finde ich es gut und wichtig, andere kleidungsstücke dazu zu kombinieren, wie z.b. diese jeansbluse von zara (uuh, matchy matchy). damit sieht man einfach nicht so nackt und unangezogen aus.

und es ist einfach schon wieder freitag! was sind eure pläne für's wochenende?

outfit: cos shorts

shorts - cos/tanktop, necklace - h&m/watch and jewellery - dkny; various/nailpolish - american apparel

normalerweise würde an dieser stelle ja wieder eine entschuldigung kommen dafür, dass ich mich so lange nicht habe blicken lassen. aber ehrlich gesagt bin ich die entschuldigungen leid. seit 4 wochen bin ich wieder aus england zurück und lebe immer noch aus diversen koffern, weil ich noch nichtmal die zeit hatte, mich in ruhe hier einzurichten. der grund dafür ist immer noch derselbe: arbeit. am mittwoch jedoch hatte ich einen freien tag und habe ihn gut genutzt: ich habe den ganzen tag in frankfurt, bei schönstem wetter mit viel starbucks, einer freundin und dem sale verbracht.
ich versuche wirklich, mich in verschiedenen shops umzusehen um einfach ein wenig zu variieren. cos stand dabei immer mit auf der liste, jedoch habe ich bis jetzt nie etwas gefunden. die preise waren mir einfach zu hoch, da ich die sachen zwar hochwertiger finde als bei der h&m-schwester, andererseits waren mir die designs einfach zu schlicht.
am mittwoch bin ich aber natürlich wieder rein, da ich dringend eine shorts gesucht habe (die ich auch gefunden habe, juhuu!). dabei musste ich natürlich einen blick in die sale-ecke werfen und nach ein wenig stöbern fand ich diese shorts. sie kam mit in die umkleide und ich fand sie sofort super.
sie ist zwar immer noch schlicht, allerdings ist der stoff und die form außergewöhnlich genug, um mich anzusprechen.
der nagellack ist, für die die es interessiert, von american apparel aus der neon reihe. ich hatte ja schon vor einiger zeit darüber berichtet und als ich das letzte mal in london war und ihn entdeckte, musste er einfach mit. die farbe heißt neon coral, er deckt super und erinnert mich irgendwie sehr an die crayon wachsmalstifte, die ich früher hatte.

das wirklich erste mal, dass ich diese shorts ausführe. sie sind das einzige, was ich mir aus der conscious collection gegönnt habe. mir haben zwar sehr viele sachen gefallen, viele sind dann aber weggefallen, da sie sich nicht gut angefühlt haben oder nicht saßen und dann hat der preis bei vielem eine rolle gespielt.. nachhaltigkeit hin oder her, in letzter zeit habe ich das gefühl, h&m produziert extra viele kollektionen außerhalb der normalen nur um die hohen preise weiterhin rechtfertigen zu können.

ein besonderes accessoire ist heute außerdem mein sonnenbrand, den der ein oder andere vielleicht in meinem gesicht erahnen kann - das hat man davon, wenn man am strand einschläft und das vor allem so, dass nur die eine seite wirklich der sonne ausgesetzt ist (oberfail). 

hattet ihr schon den ersten sonnenbrand des jahres?

ich mache mich jetzt mit ihm auf den weg nach london, ganz hohen besuch empfangen..

outfit: cut-outs

blouse - h&m/shorts - vintage levis via uo/bracelets - various/earclips - vintage

wenn ich so aus dem fenster schaue, kann ich mir kaum vorstellen, dass ich vor zwei tagen noch am strand lag und mir ein wenig sommerbräune gegönnt habe. 

solche outfit-cutouts finde ich viel praktischer als kopf-bis-fuß-outfits. wenn man das glück hat, jemanden zu haben, der das alles ab und zu fotografisch festhält, ist es natürlich kein problem, aber ich finde es immer schwer, meine 1,80 gekonnt auf einem foto einzufangen. 

die earclips kamen ja schon im letzten post vor und sind mittlerweile meine neuen lieblingsteile in meinem schmuck-sammelsurium (oder schlicht krimskrams, wie mein freund sagt). bei mir im haus gibt es im erdgeschoss einen vintage-laden, der von außen eher unscheinbar aussieht aber innen schätze von chanel, jean paul gaultier und weiteren großen namen beinhaltet. nebenbei findet man aber auch wirklich billige, schöne sachen wie unter anderem diese ohrringe, die nur fünf pfund gekostet haben. ich liebe solche läden, die man durch zufall findet.
